Sheriff and Records

The Washita County Sheriff’s Office and Records Division are the first official routes for current jail custody, county booking material, and open-record requests. Verify details before visiting or mailing because public contacts can change.

The Records Division page handles open-record requests. Provide a person’s name, date range, and booking number if known, then ask for the current form, delivery method, and estimate. The active county page does not post a current fee schedule or response-time guarantee.

Court and City Records

For a disposition or certified court record, contact the Washita County Court Clerk at 111 E Main/PO Box 380, Cordell, OK 73632, (580) 832-3836. Searchable dockets are available through OSCN, but they are not a substitute for the clerk’s official record.

A city incident report can belong with the municipal records custodian rather than the jail. Cordell city hall is listed at 101 E Main, Cordell, (580) 832-3825. Burns Flat town hall is listed at 222 Highway 44, Burns Flat, (580) 562-3144. Sentinel’s municipal directory lists 316 E Main, Sentinel, (580) 393-2171. Use the official county booking and roster route for a current custody question, the sheriff Records Division for a historical county record, the court clerk for a case outcome, and the city office for a municipal incident report.
